THE JOY OF ANTICIPATION

This week was special for me in many ways. The first was watching my daughter graduate from college. The second was getting together with family and friends in California. But before I left my home in Mexico last week, I spent an afternoon with Cristian and Lizzy doing a photo session with them. They are expecting their first child in a few weeks. So I had the good pleasure of enjoying a gorgeous Sunday at the beach in Cuastecomate as I witnessed their love and happiness together.

As I think back in my life, I can remember what a joyous time it was for me to anticipate the coming of my children into this world. What a fantastic feeling! Here's a toast and a cheer to the coming of this new child into our world ... and to my little baby girl who is now a college graduate and all grown up. May the future be bright for all generations to come. Enjoy!

EVENING RAYS OF GLORY

This blog post will be about just one photo. I took it last fall in Barra de Navidad while taking an evening walk with my wife. It was during this time that I saw these two folks (local and not tourist on vacation) sitting in their chairs and watching patiently as Mother Nature presented her evening rays of glory to them. What really fascinates me about these two people is that they took the time to bring their chairs out to spend the evening admiring and enjoying each other's company while taking in the good energy of Mother Nature's beauty. I think this exemplifies what life is truly about. A reminder for me to stop and smell the roses when you pass them and take the time to catch a sunset once in while. A sunset won't let you down and often times they will inspire you with thoughts you've only dreamed about. I've never seen a bad sunset, they're all spectacular in their own way. Enjoy!

WANDERING IN MEXICO

Wandering about with my camera is something I truly enjoy. In between doing photo shoots for events, sessions, and weddings, I just love walking around with no set plan or agenda and watch time unfold before my eyes. I never really know what's around the next corner and I find this to be so interesting. I guess my inspiration comes from seeing life as it flows in front of me. I have taken over 25,000 photos during the last two years ... which I find hard to believe when I think about it, but it's true. With this said, my plan for the future is to make a book with narrative of my visual adventures in Mexico. The photos below are just a small sample of my wandering about in Mexico with most of these photos from Barra de Navidad. Enjoy!
